The Intersections Project

Exhibition 2024: "Set Theory"

22/2 Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, Moscow
26-27 April 2024
06:00 pm

The first exhibition of the Intersections project, titled Set Theory, took place on April 26–27 in Moscow (Большая Никитская 22/2). This two-day event, curated by art historian and critic Galina Elshevskaya, marked a vibrant celebration of creative exchange.

The title Set Theory reflects the overlapping circles of friends, collaborators, and mutual acquaintances from which the Intersections project emerged. Just as in the mathematical concept, where sets intersect to reveal shared elements, the exhibition explored how personal and professional connections generate new artistic dialogues and collective creativity.

Visitors experienced a dynamic collection of artworks—including painting, photography, installation, and video art—that embodied the diverse perspectives and collaborative spirit of the participants. The exhibition was not only a platform to present innovative work but also a moment to foster dialogue and build connections within the wider art community.

Photos and videos from the event capture the energy and engagement that defined this successful debut. The project continues to affirm Intersections’ commitment to nurturing emerging talent and cultivating an inclusive artistic ecosystem.

About Intersections

What is The Intersections Project?

Intersections is a dynamic collective of emerging artists united by shared friendships and a passion for creative experimentation. Our work thrives at the crossroads of diverse perspectives, mediums, and experiences, reflecting the vibrant and interconnected cultural tapestry we inhabit. Founded on collaboration and mutual support, we aim to create spaces where artistic paths meet, ideas collide, and new dialogues emerge.

Since our successful debut exhibition in April 2024, Intersections continues to explore the power of connection—both within our group and with the wider artistic community. We invite you to join us on this evolving journey, as we challenge boundaries and celebrate the intersections that shape our creative lives.
